Televisions, smartphones and other devices emit blue light which stimulates the mind into waking up and therefore should not be used in the bedroom. Also the content – emails, games and films can really stir the brain into overdrive.

Insomnia is perhaps the most common concern of clients who seek my help. There are several reasons why people sleep badly. Often, those who have a hectic lifestyle, juggling work, home, personal matters and family are prone to experience sleep disorders.

Other people may have a quieter life, but have emotional issues which cause them to wake up with their minds churning at 3 a.m. Medical conditions also cause sleep problems, especially if people are experiencing pain and discomfort.

Lack of sleep can cause a myriad of risks and dangers such as road accidents, as well as an inability to perform at work or even problems with people around you – irritability especially with your partner and inability to concentrate on a task or a conversation.
